As a Professional Counselor, I understand the value of working towards a physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual balance. Tough seasons are bound to come whether we'd like them to or not, but the focus can't solely be on the effects of the storm, but recognizing the inner strength one possesses inside to keep going. In time, this is something I have grown to better understand in my field of work as well as in my own personal journey. My therapeutic approach will be to aid you in realizing what you truly possess inside as well. Techniques that I utilize within my practice include Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Reality Therapy, Person-Centered, Rational Emotive, Strength-Based, as well as Wellness Coaching and goal development.
My experience includes working predominantly with teens, adolescents, young adults/adults facing life transitions, anxiety, depression, displacement/homelessness, grief, body image, self concept, and more. Additionally, I have served as a certified school counselor where I have supported students and families with school related issues, navigating community supports, and preparation with post-high school transition. Remember, that your story can be whatever you choose it to be. Your circumstances do not define who you are or what you will become. I would be excited and honored to join you on this journey towards a new day and a brighter perspective. |

Do you ever stop and ask yourself, How did I get here, and where am I going? Many times we go on our journey through life and somewhere along the way we realize we need help on our journey of discovery and fulfillment. The key to proper healing is making your mental health a priority and sometimes we need help with that. I am here to help with those mental blockers. I work with adolescents, teens and young adults, through individual and group counseling. I work with clients dealing with anxiety, depression, stress, crisis intervention and many other concerns. My method of treatment includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focus Brief Therapy, Reality Therapy and Play Therapy.
During our time together my goal as a counselor is to provide a safe space to assist my client in exploring, learning, and growing in their self discovery and healing journey. No one's meant to go through life alone. Seeking support when it comes to navigating life’s obstacles is the best decision you can make for yourself. I want to be a part of your healing journey. As a school and professional counselor, my philosophy is to ensure that not only the mental health of a person is taken care of, but that the physical and spiritual being is being taken care of as well. As a counselor, I strive to make sure that I am placing my own feelings, opinions and bias aside while ensuring that I am fully listening and engaging in the wellness of each of my clients. I believe that it is crucial to establish a repertoire and relationship with my clients to set a relaxed, safe, confidential, and caring environment. I work with youth (6-12 years) and adults (individual and group counseling). I am committed to helping adults and children cope with life trials and troubles while helping them understand that there is someone that cares for them and wants the best for them.
My best practices are helping clients become more self-aware, identifying patterns of self behaviors that influence life choices, and equipping clients with skills and tools to help them be more successful in their life. My approach to treatment includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused-Brief Therapy, Play Therapy, and Reality Therapy. As a counselor, I want to help others see that no matter how rough their situation looks, they may not be able to change their situation but they can control how the situation affects them and how they respond to the storms of life. Healing is a choice. Healing takes time and persistence to turn around habits but, when you keep choosing to put in the work, healing finds you. I’m excited to be a part of your healing journey. |
